Under the restructuring of the department the “Highway Unit” has
been incorporated into the individual patrol shifts. We will continue
to have a supervisor assigned to supervise and oversee the follow-up investigations of accidents, abandoned vehicles along with special traffic enforcement details. In addition to this the Highway Corporal oversees all accident reconstructions. The department has several certified officers that conduct accident reconstructions that involve serious injury or a large amount of damage to structures.
